FEMEN is the Ukraine feminist movement supposedly funded by George Soros. They are well-known for their topless actions and colorful media exposure. What are they about?
- Against religious institutes.
- Against totalitarian regiems.
- Against society solely lead by men.
- Against traditional moslim societies.
- Against voilence against women (abuse/rape).
- Against prostitution.
- Pro positioning women as women.
- Pro holebi sexuals.
- Pro choice (abortion)
- Pro nudity.
Somehow they are able to get attention in the media. That is remarkable. Is this the lesson we want to send out to young women worldwide? Women can only be heard when they are pretty and undress? In my opinion, FEMEN undermines the position of women in Western society, by positioning them solely on their physical appearances. They are the nudes that extreme conservative men dream of, when they philosophize about participation of women in society. The FEMEN women remind me of the girls that wear a burka. Both appearances are inspired by what men think, instead of what these women are (if they already know what they are). This is the opposite of emancipation.
I just wonder who set this up? This does not look like a spontaneous movement!
